4. Not Your Basic Blue Bag - May Bag of the Month (5/14 or 5/21)

| Skill Details: | **Advanced Beginner:** Students must have a solid understanding of their sewing machine and prior sewing experience. They should have a basic knowledge of how to create and quilt a quilt sandwich. It is required that students quilt the fabrics together before class and bring them ready for trimming and sewing. |

| Requirements: | There are three sizes available in the pattern. Students may choose which size they'd like to make. You will need: 1 to 1 1/4 yards of fabric in two prints (exterior and lining), 1/2 yard fabric for binding, sewing machine, notions, quilt ruler (minimum 12" long), marking tools, and good scissors. There are three sizes available for the pattern, and students can choose which size they would like to create. You will need the following materials: 1 to 1 1/4 yards of fabric in two prints (one for the exterior and one for the lining), 1/2 yard of fabric for binding, a sewing machine, various notions, a quilt ruler (at least 12 inches long), marking tools, and good scissors. I will provide sizing information and Soft & Stable before the class. Once each student registers, I will email the size requirements, and students can pick up the stabilizer at Midwest Sewing. Please note that we will not have time to quilt the exterior, Soft & Stable, and interior during class. Students must quilt these fabrics, based on the size they choose, before class and bring them ready to be trimmed. Please bring a lunch or snack as the class is held over the lunch hour. |
